By accessing or using Dormot, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein.

2: Services Provided

Dormot is a PropTech platform designed for property management in Africa, offering features such as:

  • Onboarding: A one-time setup of your property management account.
  • Tenant Management: Tools for managing tenant information, communications, and service requests.
  • Payment Processing: Secure handling of rent payments, utility bills, and other property-related financial transactions
  • Service Charges: Dormot charges a 5% service fee for utility bill management and a 2% fee on rent payments.

3: Onboarding fee

  • The onboarding fee is a one-time charge for setting up your account and integrating your property management systems with Dormot.
  • This fee is non-refundable once the onboarding process has been completed, as detailed in our Refund Policy.

4: Payment Terms

  • Service Charges: Dormot collects a 5% service charge on the management of utility bills and other services and a 2% fee on rent payments processed through our platform.
  • Payment Method: All payments are processed via secure payment gateways integrated into the Dormot platform.
  • Non-Payment: If payment for any applicable fees is not made in a timely manner, Dormot reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services.

5: User Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using our Services, and to promptly update such information as necessary.
  • Compliance: You are responsible for complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations related to your use of Dormot.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your password, and for all activities that occur under your account.

6: Property and Tenant Management

  • Service Requests: Dormot facilitates the management of service requests from tenants to property managers. You are responsible for responding to and handling these requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Rent Collection: Dormot processes rent payments on your behalf, deducting a 2% fee per transaction. It is your responsibility to ensure that rent payments are accurate and timely.

7: Data Privacy

  • Personal Data: Your use of Dormot is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
  • Data Security: Dormot employs industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure, and you agree to use Dormot at your own risk.

8: Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All content, software, and materials on the Dormot platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and code, are the property of Dormot and are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • License: Dormot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our Services for your property management needs.

9: Termination

  • Termination by User: You may terminate your account at any time by providing written notice to Dormot. Upon termination, you will no longer have access to the Services, and any outstanding fees will become due immediately.
  • Termination by Dormot: Dormot reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct that Dormot deems harmful to the platform or other users.

10: Limitation of Liability

  • Disclaimer: Dormot provides its Services "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
  • Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dormot shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dormot, its affiliates, and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

Dormot reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
